Hots & Brats opens in Carytown and more Richmond dining news

🌭 A sausage party just sprung up in Carytown with Hots & Brats, the hand-crafted banger restaurant from The Mayor Meats, aka chef Kyle Morse.

• The wiener-filled cafe and retail sausage restaurant opened last week in the former Carytown Cupcake space, next door to The Jasper.

On the menu: Wagyu hot dogs three ways and six styles of sausages, ($6-$10), plus fries, chips, wine and beer, plus daily specials, like buffalo fried chicken sausage and a Reuben dog.

• Hots & Brats is open Wednesday - Saturday, 11am-11pm and Sunday, 11am-9pm.

☮️ Meanwhile a few doors down, Ripple Ray's appears to be getting close to opening in the former Weezie's Kitchen/TownHall space at 3123 W. Cary St.

• That spot will reportedly be a Grateful Dead-themed Southern cuisine restaurant with live music after dinner.

🍹 Over in Scott's Addition, Goldwing, the cocktail and dessert-focused concept next to Fighting Fish, will open Friday, Oct. 18 at 910 Arthur Ashe Boulevard, per its Insta.
