Your favorite Richmonders are back

Team Axios Richmond is back home after a three-day Axios Local retreat in Minneapolis.

Why it matters: We missed you.

The big picture: We, and our colleagues in 29 other cities, traded newsletter writing tips, brainstormed story ideas and toured the Twin Cities, including taking in a Minnesota Twins game at Target Field.

• We loved the skyways, cheese curds, nasally accents and the familiar smell of weed permeating the air.
• We only lightly complained about the weather, too, and only when we were cold, which was every morning and night.

Yes, but: We missed our warm Septembers, uneven outdoor sidewalks, hearing "y'all" shouted in the streets and y'all specifically, our awesome readers who are some of the best across 30 cities.

The bottom line: Twin Cities is lit, but Richmond is better. And we're happy to be home.
