Celeb fashion designer Christian Siriano bought his mom a house on Monument Avenue

The big picture: Siriano was born and raised outside of Baltimore, but his sister, Shannon Siriano, and two nephews are Richmonders.

• Apparently, now his mom is, too.

Zoom in: Siriano initially bought the house as an investment property, but his mom fell in love with it and was looking to relocate, so he changed gears and renovated it for her.

• The NYC resident, who launched an interior design firm and furniture collection in 2021, told AD the house was dilapidated and all four floors had to be fully gutted as part of the process.
• According to our internet sleuthing, Siriano bought the house in Dec. 2022 for just under $1.3 million.

Fun fact: The AD piece dropped Monday, the morning after Siriano and several of his dresses were on the Red Carpet at the Emmys.
