This is for everyone who wants to spend one of the unluckiest days of the year permanently tattooing your body.
The big picture: Richmond's tattoo shops are known for going all in for Friday the 13th by having deals or themed flash sheets (already drawn designs).
- And Friday is the first of two chances in 2024 to take advantage of them. The next is Dec. 13.
Zoom in: The tattoo deals are mostly first come, first serve and often arms and legs only. Prices don't include tip.
We've rounded a few of them up so you don't have to.
🐰 Black Rabbit near Carytown has flash designs, from three artists, that include a smiling pumpkin headstone. 11am-6pm. $75 to $130.
❤️ Heartfelt Tattoo on Hull Street will have a flash day starting at noon. Prices start at $100.
👻 Heroes and Ghosts in Carytown will have a spooky-themed flash day starting at noon. $100-$250.
⛵️ Lakeside Tattoo has dozens of palm-sized designs at $150 each. They prefer cash and a call ahead at 804-261-6198 to reserve a time.
🔩 Loose Screw Tattoo on West Cary Street has a Spongebob Halloween Flash sale that includes an emo handsome Squidward. $75-$150.
- You'll have to visit the shop to see the options but appointments are still recommended.
⛰️ Moving Mountains Tattoo Collective in the Arts District has slasher and Studio Ghibli-inspired designs starting at 1pm. $66.60-$130. Cash only.
🦦 River City Tattoo is running a tattoo special from Friday to Sunday at all their shops and will post their flash on Instagram. $100-$250.
🐥 Yellow Bird Tattoo on West Main will be posting sneak peeks of their all new designs on Instagram. 12-10pm. $100-$300.
