Richmond drag performers won the Virginia Pride pageant this weekend, organizers announced Monday.
Why it matters: They'll be representing Virginia Pride for the next year and at VA PrideFest in September — the state's largest LGBTQ+ event that takes place annually in Richmond.
The big picture: The pageant, which took place at Godfrey's, has been running for over 25 years and scores contestants based on talent, community service commitment and evening wear.
Awards include Miss, Mr. and Mx. Virginia Pride, for nonbinary people.
