❌ Gov. Youngkin signed 100 bills into law and vetoed seven — including one that would raise the state's minimum wage and one that would've launched Virginia's legal retail marijuana marketplace. (Virginia Mercury)

  • "The proposed legalization of retail marijuana in the Commonwealth endangers Virginians' health and safety," Youngkin wrote in a four-page veto statement.
  • "Attempting to rectify the error of decriminalizing marijuana by establishing a safe and regulated marketplace is an unachievable goal," he added."
