Captain Kirk, aka William Shatner, is premiering his latest flick in Richmond on Friday, at The Byrd Theatre.

Why it matters: He's William 🤬 Shatner, star of "Star Trek," "Boston Legal," "Miss Congeniality" and 89% of every other movie or show.

Zoom in: Shatner will be in town for GalaxyCon, but is making a stop at The Byrd to premiere "You Can Call Me Bill" — a documentary all about the actor.

  • The Richmond premiere is a week ahead of the film's national release, scheduled for March 22, Shatner's 93rd birthday.
  • A Q&A with Shatner follows the screening.

If you go: The red carpet premiere of "You Can Call Me Bill" at The Byrd is Friday, March 15 at 8pm.

  • Tickets start at $50, which gets you in the door for the movie, plus an unsigned movie poster.
  • $500 VIP tickets include walking the red carpet, an invite (and two drink tickets) to the pre-show party, a picture with Shatner and other swag.
  • $1,500 Super VIP tickets include the above, plus a dinner with "celebs from the Star Trek franchise" (Shatner will pop in) and on-stage seating during the post-screening Q&A.
