Ned here, excited for this excuse to gorge myself on dumplings.
What's happening: Dumpling & Noodle Cart, a staple of VCU's Monroe Park campus, opened a brick-and-mortar location in Carytown.
- The new spot is called (drumroll…) Dumpling & Noodle Cart.
My thought bubble: This is my dream Carytown restaurant experience.
- Nothing on the menu costs more than $6. Food comes out almost instantly, and the dining area is clean and pleasant.
- In short: perfect for an impromptu snack or an easy lunch meet-up.
I tried basically everything (it's a small menu). My favorites ended up being the sesame noodles ($5) and the basic pork dumplings ($6 for seven).

- The soup dumplings ($12 for three) get their own section on the menu and are a fun treat if, like me, you get excited by broth-infused novelty foods.
