🏙️ Friday, Oct. 2: Downtown queer history tours (3-7pm)

🏳️‍🌈 Saturday, Oct. 3: Parade and protest along Ninth Street (Noon-2pm)

🪩 All week long: Pride events are planned at queer-friendly nightlife spots, including The Fruit, Club Era, Arcana, Queeny's, Pinhook, Velvet Hippo and Rubies.

Catch up quick: Even though June is Pride month nationally — to honor New York City's 1969 Stonewall Uprising — Durham's been doing it in the fall for over 20 years.

• Cooler weather and the Duke University students being in town are big parts of that.

The bottom line: There's something for everyone this year. Happy Pride!
