Lloyd's Full Service, a new restaurant from local hospitality group Early Bird Night Owl, will open in a former auto shop on Cary's Chatham Street in August.
Why it matters: The restaurant brings another option to downtown Cary, which is becoming one of the Triangle's most popular dining and shopping areas.
It also retrofits one of downtown's oldest buildings, a 1951 filling station, and adds a new patio facing the heart of downtown.
Driving the news: Early Bird Night Owl, the group behind hotel projects like The Durham, The Mayton in Cary and the under-construction Gables in Raleigh, is targeting August for the opening at the intersection of Chatham and Academy streets.
Zoom in: Lloyd's kitchen will be helmed by chef Dennis Bernard and will offer a menu featuring linguine with clams, a hot dog in honor of the now-closed Ashworth Drugs, a fried fish plate and an all-day breakfast plate.
The restaurant will have space to seat 75 guests in its dining room and up to 100 on its covered outdoor patio.
The patio will also have a vintage-style van that has been retrofitted to serve food and drinks.
