Time to find your World Cup watch party in the Triangle

The FIFA World Cup kicks off Thursday, starting what will be more than a monthlong celebration of the world's game.

That includes plenty of watch party opportunities in the Triangle to cheer on the U.S. national team.

Here are some of the biggest watch parties planned in the area:

⚽️ June 12: U.S. vs Paraguay

Soccer.com and Adidas are hosting a watch party on the lawn at the American Tobacco Campus, which will feature live music before the game, giveaways and custom gear for the event.
The city of Raleigh is hosting a four-day Fan Fest in Moore Square starting June 11, which will also include watch party for the U.S.-Paraguay game. The fan fest will include games and music.

🏟️ June 19: U.S. vs Australia

The NC Courage will host a free watch party (you'll still need to grab the tickets online) at WakeMed Soccer Park for the U.S. vs Australia match. The event will feature giveaways, including a chance to win two World Cup tickets.
Soccer.com and Adidas will also host another watch party at The Rialto in Raleigh, though that event is already sold out.

Most bars across the Triangle will be showing games. Here are some soccer-dedicated ones to consider:

Raleigh: The London Bridge Pub, The Winchester and Olé.
Durham: The Boot Room and Bull McCabe's.
