Carolina Performing Arts at UNC-Chapel Hill plans to launch a new four-day arts festival in Chapel Hill next year.
Why it matters: It's the latest effort to bring more arts programming to the Triangle as its population continues to grow rapidly.
Driving the news: The new festival, called "All. Together. Now.," will run from Feb. 18-21 next year.
That is typically a quieter time of the year for the Triangle's music and arts festivals, which typically run during the summer months.
Zoom in: Carolina Performing Arts says it's committed to making the new festival a recurring event.
The organization said that each year, the festival will be shaped by a central idea that will guide its programming. The first year will focus on "love and hope."
What's next: A lineup is expected to be announced in August.
Festival passes will go on sale in September and will be sold by the day.
