Over a year of construction at Duke Gardens officially wraps up on Wednesday.
🌷 Why it matters: Spring is the most popular time of the year for the botanical garden, and while the blossoms have already fallen from the famous alley of cherry trees, there are thousands more flowers around the property to take in.
🅿️ Zoom in: The main entrance on Anderson Street reopens Wednesday, allowing weekday parking to resume. On-site parking has been limited to the weekends since early 2025.
☕️ There is now a cafe, a new entrance and upgraded restrooms.
👰♀️ One of the key motivators for the redesign was the need for more space to host weddings and other events.
If you go: The gardens open daily 8am to sunset. Entry is still free.
Cafe hours are 10am-4pm daily, beginning on Wednesday.
