Zoom In: The restaurant, known for its beef brisket and smoked meats, will debut next year at the Salvage Yard, which is phase two of the Raleigh Iron Works development.
The restaurant will have more than 8,000 square feet of space, as well as a 1,600-square-foot commercial smokehouse.
Lewis Barbecue joins Triangle Rock Club, NOCO Brewery from the Bond Brothers, Cannonball Music Hall, Peach Lab, Mami Nora's and Tilden's Car Care as a tenant in Salvage Yard.
Zoom out: In addition to Charleston, Lewis, founded by pitmaster John Lewis, has a location in Greenville, S.C., and one planned for Atlanta.
