Three Starbucks locations in the Triangle are closing as part of a corporate restructuring plan from the coffee chain.
Zoom in: Of the seven locations in North Carolina closing, three of them are either in Raleigh or Durham, according to WNCN. The closing stores include:
A Starbucks in southwest Durham at 5319 New Hope Commons Dr.
A cafe in the new Seaboard Station development in downtown Raleigh at 16 Seaboard Ave.
And a pick-up only location at 2526 Hillsborough St. near N.C. State University.
Between the lines: Starbucks is deep in a turnaround after prolonged sales declines, and the company's CEO Brian Niccol said last week the cuts were part of that long-term revamp, Axios previously reported.
"During the review, we identified coffeehouses where we're unable to create the physical environment our customers and partners expect, or where we don't see a path to financial performance, and these locations will be closed," Niccol wrote.
