Nanny Goat, a self-described "boutique bodega" from from the James Beard Award-nominated chef Preeti Waas and her daughter Amy Waas, will open its second location in October — this time in downtown Durham.
Zoom in: The take-and-go market, from the chef behind the Indian restaurant Cheeni, opened its first location in Hub RTP earlier this year, selling a mixture of prepared foods, pantry staples and gifts.
It's next location will be on the bottom floor of the Geerhouse apartment building in downtown Durham, near other restaurants like Motorco, Hutchins Garage and Geer Street Garden.
The downtown Durham location will focus on selling prepared foods from local chefs in a grab-and-go format.
