Raleigh's newest bakery, Paul and Jack, is delightful.
Why it matters: The city seems to agree, as it was packed to the brim when we visited on a recent Saturday morning.
Driving the news: Paul and Jack took over the Layered Croissanterie space in February to open its second spot in the Triangle.
Its original location in Wake Forest opened last year.
What to expect: A bakery case full of savory and sweet desserts that will make your mouth water while you wait in line and a hefty espresso and tea menu.
We tried the cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting ($7.99), plus the savory khachapuri ($7.99) — a Georgian dish with cheese-filled bread — both were life-changing, seriously.
