North Carolina doesn't produce nearly as much wine as California, but it is the 10th largest producer of wine in the country, at around 2.9 million gallons in 2023.
Some of the states in the top nine may surprise you: California, New York, Washington, Oregon, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Massachusetts, and just ahead of North Carolina is Texas.
