The trendy retailers Vuori and Aritzia are opening soon at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham.
Why it matters: Southpoint, the Triangle's largest mall, is evolving even as other traditional malls in the area languish.
The mall continues to welcome popular new retailers, and it's also slated for a substantial makeover, with office space, hundreds of apartments, a hotel and more retail planned for its property.
Details: Vuori, which specializes in women's and men's athleisure apparel, will open this spring in the old Peloton spot near Lululemon, according to Brookfield Properties, which owns Southpoint. This will be the first Durham location for Vuori, which has one other North Carolina store in Charlotte.
Aritzia, which sells women's clothes and accessories, is opening in the old Victoria's Secret spot this summer. This is Durham's first Aritzia.
Victoria's Secret relocated to the space formerly occupied by J.Crew, which recently reopened in a new spot across the hall from its sister concept, Madewell, per Brookfield.
