It's been decades since the Triangle has hit a snowfall record.
By the numbers: Wake County saw a record 17.9" of snow on Jan. 25, 2000.
- Durham's record was nearly a century ago, on Dec. 18, 1930, when 18.5" of snow fell.
- Yancey County holds the record for the highest one-day snowfall, with 36" in March of 1993.
