New Year's Eve is just around the corner, so it's time to start making plans.
Here are some of the events happening around the Triangle on New Year's Eve:
💔 Young Hearts Distilling on Wilmington Street in downtown Raleigh is throwing one last event on NYE before it permanently closes its doors.
- In a nod to the Busy Bee Cafe, which occupied the space before Young Hearts, the restaurant's final bash will offer original Busy Bee menu items, an open bar and a DJ.
- Tickets, which include gratuity, are $200. The event will go from 8pm - 1am.
🐿️ Witness the famous Acorn Drop on Raleigh's Fayetteville Street as part of the city's annual First Night Raleigh event.
- Events begin at 2pm with a musical performance for children, and the party continues until midnight. Tickets are $13 before Christmas, but prices go up after that. Kids under 5 are free.
🎩 Celebrate the New Year with a black tie optional gala at Union Hall in Raleigh hosted by Rocky Top Catering. Guests will have access to an open bar, photo booth, two dance floors and more. Tickets are $170.
🥂 For a pre-midnight celebration, head to Heights House in Raleigh for champagne and caviar. Reservations start at 5:15pm and cost $75 per person.
- Vendors will separately offer tarot readings, permanent jewelry and a photo booth at the event.
🍾 Madre and Moon Room are collaborating to offer an event with a DJ, champagne and special food and beverage offerings. Reservations begin at 4pm and end at 10:30pm.
🌃 Get a rooftop view of NYE fireworks at The Willard, plus a buffet, two cash bars, live music, a dance floor and party favors. Tickets are $125.
- Splurge on a VIP experience for $3,500 for a private room and balcony, a three-course plated dinner and more for up to 12 guests.
💃 Unscripted Durham will host a celebration featuring complimentary light bites and bubbly for the first three hours of the event, which starts at 8pm, plus a live DJ. Advance tickets are $45.
🦛 Velvet Hippo in Durham is hosting a New Year's Eve dance party starting at 9pm featuring a DJ and drink specials. The $15 cover includes a champagne toast at midnight.
🎶 Cosmic Charlie, a Grateful Dead cover band, will perform at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro on Dec. 30 and Dec. 31. The New Year's Eve performance includes party favors and a champagne toast. Two-night tickets are available for $50 (one night is $35).
If you're not in the mood for a party: Figulina ($95), Alley Twenty Six ($140), The Durham ($95), Crawford & Son ($150), Tamasha ($115), Osteria Georgi ($75) and Lantern ($75) are some of the area restaurants offering special New Year's Eve menus featuring several courses and some with optional add-ons like wine pairings.
