The Flying Pierogi deli is now serving freshly made European-style sandwiches out of a new storefront in Carrboro.
Why it matters: The Flying Pierogi operated primarily as a popular food truck for about five years before opening a brick-and-mortar location a few months ago.
- Owner Jaysen Wilson told the Daily Tar Heel the new spot offers more options like alcohol and snacks, plus a commercial kitchen to support the food truck, which will continue operating.
Details: In addition to German and Polish-style street food like kielbasas, pastrami sandwiches and Polish grilled cheese, the Flying Pierogi serves hot dogs and brats, plus fries, soups, pastries, beer and wine.
- Find the new deli in the former Coronato's Pizza location off Greensboro Street in Carrboro's South Green, at 101 Two Hill Dr. Unit 140.
