One of the world's most celebrated violinists will join the stage with the North Carolina Symphony in Raleigh this week.

Driving the news: The symphony, led by Carlos Miguel Prieto, will play three performances: Mexican composer Gabriela Ortiz' "Téenek," Russian composer Sergei Prokofiev's "Violin Concerto No. 1" and French composer Hector Berlioz' "Symphonie fantastique."
