As new residents of Chapel Hill and parents of a two-year-old, my husband and I are always looking for kid-friendly spots to explore. I think we've found a go-to for summer: Steel String Brewery at Pluck Farm in Mebane.
We visited on a recent spring afternoon with some friends — the place was full of other young families.
You can grab drinks and light snacks from the main building, then hang at a picnic table while the kids run around and play on the sprawling grounds.
Next time we'll probably bring a picnic blanket and maybe the dog.
