N.C. State's March magic hasn't worn off yet.
Catch up quick: The 11th-seeded Wolfpack upset No. 6 Texas Tech 80-67 in an NCAA Tournament game that didn't end until well past midnight.
State has now won six straight games, going from a team destined to miss the tournament to winning an ACC championship and advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
What's next: Even better, the Wolfpack won't have to face Kentucky next after the Wildcats were upset by 14th-seeded Oakland earlier on Thursday.
The Pack will play Oakland on Saturday in Pittsburgh.
Meanwhile in Charlotte, the No. 1 Tar Heels tookcare of business against 16th-seeded Wagner, winning 90-62.
What's next: It will be a rematch of the 2009 national championship on Saturday, with UNC set to play No. 9 Michigan State after the Spartans defeated No. 8 Mississippi State.
