Phoenix Art Museum launching 2nd season of live music series

The Phoenix Art Museum is gearing up for the second season of its Soundcheck live music series, kicking things off with local legends.

State of play: Longtime Phoenix rock band the Meat Puppets will play the 2026-27 season's first show on Sept. 25.

Indie electronic duo MRCH will play the next show Oct. 30.

Catch up quick: Phoenix Art Museum launched Soundcheck last year, with shows from 76th Street, the Sunflower King, the Phoenix Symphony and others.

The monthly series focuses on local and regional artists.

What they're saying: The event "brings together some of the best of what makes Phoenix so special, from incredible music and art to meaningful opportunities to connect as a community," Sentari Minor, board president of Men's Arts Council, which sponsors the series, said in a press statement.

What we're watching: The museum will announce additional artists for future shows later in the season.
