Grab lunch at the Paper Bag Sandwich Co.

• The digs are unpretentious — a small restaurant with a short menu, drink cooler and no tables, just a long counter with a few chairs for patrons to sit while they enjoy their sandwiches.
• It was opened by Hunter Breshears, who also owns Chewk's Cookies next door.

Zoom in: The menu has just six sandwiches, all made on focaccia-like bread (you can make it gluten-free) and delivered in their namesake paper bags.

• The woman who took our order said the most popular are the Group Project — ham, prosciutto, salami, hot capicola, provolone, arugula, tomato, red onion and pickled pepper aioli — and the Hall Pass — turkey, whipped ricotta, arugula, hot honey and cracked black pepper.
• The Fire Drill — chicken, jalapeño peppered bacon, cheddar, crispy onions, tomato, arugula and spicy Calabrian chili ranch — has also gotten popular.

Best bites: I ordered the Hall Pass because it sounded tasty and unique.

• The salty sweetness of the whipped ricotta and the sweet spiciness of the hot honey were a great combination on what could've otherwise been a pretty traditional turkey sandwich.
