Football is so last weekend. It's baseball time!
The big picture: Catchers and pitchers begin reporting for Spring Training today, marking the start of Major League Baseball's 2026 season.
Why it matters: Last year's Cactus League season had a $764 million statewide economic impact, according to a study by ASU's W.P. Carey School of Business.
What's next: Spring Training games kick off on Feb. 20 with matchups between the Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners, and Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
