If you're in search of a good spot to host a New Year's Eve party, Airbnb wants you to look elsewhere.
The big picture: The short-term rental giant is putting the word out that it is again using what it describes as "anti-party technology" to block bookings intended for New Year's shindigs.
Zoom in: The tool, powered by machine learning, identifies and blocks potentially high-risk bookings, like those made last-minute or within a close distance of a booker's residence.
Catch up quick: Last year, Airbnb blocked about 560 bookings in Arizona over New Year's Eve.
That includes 180 in Phoenix and 75 in Scottsdale, the company says.
