Thousands of people joined a national day of "No Kings" rallies across the Valley on Saturday to protest President Trump.
State of play: The Arizona Department of Public Safety estimated about 5,000 people attended a protest at the state Capitol, the Arizona Mirror reported, while organizers claimed about 15,000.
There were also protests around the Phoenix area and across the state in Chandler, Flagstaff, Kingman, Mesa, Oro Valley, Payson, Prescott, Scottsdale, Show Low, Surprise, Tempe, Tucson and Yuma, per media reports.

The Arizona Republic reported that a man was detained by police after people in the crowd said he pulled out a gun.
