Bite Club: Have breakfast with Renegade Coffee Company

• The company launched in Scottsdale in 2018, and opened a second location in Mesa in 2021.
• The owner named the company after the Thomas Rhett song "Renegades," the chain's website explains.

Best bites: I couldn't decide whether to get a breakfast burrito or biscuits and gravy. Fortunately, they've got an option for just that kind of indecisiveness — you can get your breakfast burrito smothered in sausage gravy.

• I got a smothered chorizo breakfast burrito.
• I know what sausage gravy tastes like, and I know what a chorizo breakfast burrito tastes like. I'd just never had them together like this, and they complemented each other very well.
• For my coffee, I got a blackberry white mocha. I never would've thought to put blackberry flavoring in a coffee drink, let alone mixing it with white chocolate. But it was fantastic.
