Arizona Wildcats bring in top-tier recruiting class for 2025 basketball season

• Rivals.com ranks UofA's recruiting class the best in the NCAA, while 247sports.com has them at No. 2 and and On3 list the Cats at No. 3.

Zoom in: The Cats have gotten commitments recently from several blue-chip recruits.

• Koa Peat, a five-star forward from Gilbert's Perry High School, is a top-10 recruit on everyone's list and may be the star of UofA's impressive class.
• Shooting guard Brayden Burries from Corona, California, is barely lower.
• Small forward Dwayne Aristode, from Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, is a top-15 recruit on several lists.

The latest: Sidi Gueye, a 6-11 forward from Senegal who's currently playing with Real Madrid, committed to UofA last month.

• Gueye is one of the top international prospects in his age group.

1 big name: The Cats also got a commitment from shooting guard Bryce James, son of NBA legend LeBron James.

State of play: The 2025 recruiting class is by far UofA's best since head coach Tommy Lloyd took over in 2021.

Between the lines: Leading scorer Caleb Love is gone after exhausting his eligibility, and Carter Bryant and Jaden Bradley opted to enter the NBA Draft.

• KJ Lewis transferred to Georgetown, and Henri Veesaar is headed to North Carolina.

The intrigue: Don't pencil in UofA as the preseason No. 1 in the Big 12 just yet — national championship runner-up Houston has either the best or second-best recruiting class, depending which rankings you're looking at.
