A developmental disability services agency partnered with the Arizona Diamondbacks to bring a sensory room to Chase Field this season.
Why it matters: Located on the Diamond Level in left field, the room is soundproof and features toys, comfortable seating and trained professionals to assist fans with autism and sensory sensitivities.
Fans can also stop by to grab noise-cancelling headphones and fidget toys if they prefer to watch the game from their seats.
What they're saying: "Everyone deserves a chance to enjoy a game or an event, no matter their sensory processing needs," Roman Empire Agency founder Gabriela Salcido said in a statement.
Her company provides therapy and other services to Arizonans with developmental disabilities and last year partnered with the Arizona Cardinals to bring a similar room to State Farm Stadium.
