We're all about Peeps and Whoppers this Easter season, according to Google search trends and Instacart order data.
The big picture: U.S. consumers are expected to spend $3.3 billion on Easter candy this year, up from $3.1 billion in 2024, according to the National Retail Federation's annual holiday survey.
Only Halloween garners more holiday candy sales, a Numerator survey of more than 5,000 people found.
Zoom in: Peeps were the most commonly Google-searched candy in Arizona (and across most of the U.S.) between March 14 and April 14, per Google Trends.

Meanwhile, Instacart data suggests Phoenix can't get enough of Whoppers Malted Milk Balls.
Local shoppers purchased 227% more than the national average of the classic candy last Easter season.
