Hawaiian barbecue and coffee shop coming to Indian School in central Phoenix

• Ono's website lists 1003 E. Indian School as the future location but doesn't say when it'll open. The company didn't respond to an email from Axios.

Zoom out: Ono has 14 Arizona locations spread across the Valley, according to its website.

• The chain has 104 locations overall, the remainder of which are in California.
• Details of the coffee restaurant weren't immediately available.

Catch up quick: The currently vacant plot has been home to other restaurants in the past.

• In 2013, the award-winning Fry Bread House moved to the spot from the original location where it operated since 1992. It moved again a few years later and is now on Seventh Avenue in the Melrose District.
• Pancho's Mexican Buffet was previously located there.
