Beat the Phoenix heat with Christmas (and pizza) in July

• Guests who bring two nonperishable food items or make a $2 cash donation will receive 10% off their bill through the month.

Between the lines: Food banks face their greatest demand during summer, when children have less access to free or reduced lunches they receive at school.

• Organ Stop hosts its Christmas in July fundraiser annually to encourage spirited giving year-round.

A few fun things: The Mighty Wurlitzer Pipe Organ stage will be decked out with Christmas trees and poinsettias. Expect some holiday tunes to bellow from its pipes.

• Each night in July, two patrons will win a stocking full of Organ Stop Pizza goodies and Mr. and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance on Saturdays and Sundays.
