• I met a friend there for lunch so we could see what all the fuss was about.

How it works: It's a no-frills place. You place your order on a computer, and most customers take their food to go since it's a small restaurant with limited seating.

• There are a few tables inside for those, like me, who choose to dine in for the full experience.

What I ordered:

• Poke roll, with avocado and cucumber topped with Japanese-style chirashi poke.
• Yuzu salmon roll, a spicy crab roll topped with salmon and yuzu onions.
• For an extra couple bucks, I figured I might as well go with the real wasabi.

The verdict: You might never give the place a second thought if you drove past without reading the reviews, but everything was absolutely delicious.

• A salmon roll with spicy crab is pretty standard fare, but the yuzu onions added a unique flavor that I really liked.
• I've had poke, but never on a sushi roll before, and it was tasty and special.
