Preservation Hall opens bar and restaurant

Zoom in: Le Spectacle is now taking reservations, the release says, and offers a "family-friendly" menu offered throughout its cafe and courtyard.

• "Together, these settings deepen the experience of Preservation Hall — transforming a concert visit into a fuller evening rooted in music, hospitality, and the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans," the release says.

• The new bar and restaurant was created alongside Sandstone Hospitality, which is also responsible for the Columns, Fives, and Hotel Henrietta.

Dig in: Menus online show a mix of classic New Orleans cocktails, kids' plates and sandwiches like a veggie muffuletta, a burger and an "adult grilled cheese."

• Other dishes feature West African and Caribbean influences, like callaloo (braised greens) and black beans and rice.

Fun fact: The restaurant borrows its name from Le Spectacle de la Rue Saint Pierre, New Orleans' first theater, once housed in the same location.

Catch up quick: Preservation Hall creative director Ben Jaffe previously talked with Axios New Orleans about plans to grow the venue's footprint and impact by expanding into the building next door.
