Many Louisiana voters will head back to the polls Nov. 15 for the final election of 2025.
Why it matters: In New Orleans, Saturday's election brings runoffs to decide several leadership positions, plus decisions on a trio of bond propositions and a smattering of other municipal issues.
Catch up quick: The biggest races this fall already came to an end during October's primary, which handed outright victories to Mayor-elect Helena Moreno and others.
Yes, but: There are still decisions to be made.
- Among them are City Council races for Districts A and E, and Criminal Court Clerk. Full guide. WDSU also hosted debates for candidates in all three races. You can view them for District A, District E and the clerk seat.
- The election also asks voters to give a thumbs-up or thumbs-down to two charter amendments and $510 million in bond propositions aimed at filling potholes, providing affordable housing and maintaining public parks. Full guide.
The big picture: Unsurprisingly, given how decisively voters turned in their ballots last month, early voting numbers for this election are far below what they were in the primary.
- The Secretary of State's Office reports just 20,619 people in Orleans Parish voted early for this election.
- In comparison, 40,324 people voted early in Orleans Parish last month.
If you go: Polling places are open from 7am to 8pm Saturday.
