Spooky season is the time for haunted houses, trick-or-treating and ... brunch?

Zoom in: Call your coven because a handful of New Orleans restaurants are jumping into the new tradition of crafting specialty menus for Halloween-themed witches' lunches and brunches.

Be smart: These require advance reservations, so make your bookings now. Some, like those at Saint John, have already sold out.

Here are some of the fun witches' lunches and brunches we've seen around town:

🥣 Gris-Gris has a three-course lunch with a festive menu including Grimoire gumbo and cauldron-seared swordfish. It's $55. Available Oct. 24 and 31. Book on Resy.

🎃 Tujaque's hosts its three-course lunch for $56 with options like a roasted pumpkin and butternut squash salad, and a pumpkin bread pudding. Book on OpenTable under "Experiences." Available Oct. 24 and 31.

🧹 The Bower has a three-course lunch. The $48 menu includes options like a jumbo lump crab and lion's mane mushroom sandwich and a chocolate Whoopie pie. Book on OpenTable under "Experiences." Available Oct. 24 and 31.

🪄 Muriel's is doing a three-course brunch, and pricing is based on entrees. They range from $39 for a fall vegetable curry to $48 for a hickory-grilled petit filet. Call 504-568-1885 to book. Available Oct. 24 and 31.

🍸 Criollo inside the Hotel Monteleone also has a three-course lunch, but they're throwing in $1 martinis, too, and a live brass band. Book a table between 11:30 and 2pm Oct. 31 through Resy.
