"Love Is Blind" wants New Orleans singles

The big picture: Kinetic Content Casting is looking for "brave" and "open-minded" men and women who are ready for a committed relationship, according to Instagram.

• Applications are open for singles in New Orleans, Austin, Charleston, St. Louis and Philadelphia.
• Does that mean the show is headed to New Orleans? Kinetic didn't respond to Axios' query.
• The show's upcoming season is in Denver. Previous seasons have been in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Charlotte and (forgettably) Minneapolis.

How it works: "Love Is Blind" is one of Netflix's most-watched reality shows. Nick and Vanessa Lachey host.

• In the show, singles try to fall in love without ever seeing each other face-to-face.
• Contestants mingle inside "pods" separated by a frosted glass wall. They only meet after the proposal.
• Couples then move in together, plan a wedding and decide on their wedding day whether to tie the knot or walk away.

The fine print: Applicants must be single — not "in a committed, intimate or monogamous dating relationship" and not seeking a divorce.

• You can't be a candidate for public office either.
