How to save on your New Orleans parking, camera tickets

How it works: Starting Sunday, June 1, anyone with parking tickets that are at least 30 days old or traffic camera tickets more than 60 days old as of June 1 can pay the tickets without any added late fees.

• You can pay either in full or through an interest-free payment plan, according to a city press release.
• They can be paid online.
• The amnesty program runs through Aug. 31.

Between the lines: The offer is open to anyone, whether you're a New Orleans resident or not.

Meanwhile, with the start of summer, cameras in school zones are starting to get turned off across New Orleans, a press release says.

• They should all be turned off by July 14, but will resume snapping pictures of speeders when school restarts in August.
