JusTini's makes a great burger — and it's a great deal

At JusTini's, Jessica Robinson has created a casual bar that still feels like a special trip thanks to its glam decor and walk-in ease.
Why it matters: The Bywater spot also has a great happy hour, which you should put on your radar for a stop this summer.
The vibe: Robinson built JusTini's in the same space that once housed the long-closed Oxalis, but her inspiration actually came from other New Orleans bars.
- You'll notice that as soon as you walk in. There's a mural in the courtyard dedicated to the Black women who created Seal's and Bertha's.
- "We have murals all over New Orleans, but not a lot of them are of Black women," Robinson told Big Easy Magazine. "I wanted to honor them, because their bars have been around for over thirty years and I aspire for my business to be around over thirty years."
Dig in: JusTini's menu is heavy on cocktails and comfort food, and the happy hour specials home in on a small but worthwhile slice.
- The best deal is a $12, thick-cut burger, which comes with perfectly melted American cheese and a pile of truffle fries on the side.
- Other steals include $8 old fashioned cocktails, a $7 plate of fish tenders and fries and $7 French 75s and lemon drops.
If you go: JusTini's offers happy hour from 3-6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3-7pm on Friday and from 5-7pm on Saturdays.
- But go on Wednesday for all-day happy hour.
