Robert Pattinson is filming a movie in New Orleans

• The story follows a "journalist who takes on an underworld of crime and ends up changing television forever," according to a casting call.
• The movie is supposedly inspired by NBC's "To Catch a Predator," a quasi-reality show from the early 2000s that aimed to expose alleged sexual predators with undercover cameras, Variety reported.

Between the lines: It's being called "Bluefin Tuna" locally and on the film production signs in town.

Zoom in: A24 is producing the film with Pattinson. Lance Oppenheim, of HBO's "Ren Faire" docuseries, is the director.

The intrigue: It's unclear whether Pattinson will actually be in the film.

• The latest chatter from The Hollywood Reporter only says he will produce, but Screenrant says it wouldn't be unusual if he decided to be in it too.
• Pattinson is, however, staring in "The Batman II," which hits theaters in 2027. He's also doing "The Odyssey" with Matt Damon.
• Plus, he's getting accolades for his work on the quirky "Mickey 17."

Zoom out: "Ella McCay" is slated to start pre-production work later this month in New Orleans, according to the state film office.

• The dramedy stars Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Ayo Edebiri and Kumail Nanjiani, according to IMBD.
