The movie adaption of the bestselling book, "People We Meet on Vacation," is filming in New Orleans.
Why it matters: You might run into a movie set on your commute. Four films are shooting here, plus there's an animated production in the works.
The big picture: New Orleans hosted several big productions earlier this year.
- Michael B. Jordan of "Black Panther," Alexandra Daddario of "Mayfair Witches" and the new "Roller Jam" competition were all in town.
Here's what we know about the current production from the New Orleans Film Office.
"People We Meet on Vacation"
This is a production partnership with Sony and Netflix, according to the streaming company. Filming started Oct. 15 and wraps Sunday.
- It's a romantic comedy based on Emily Henry's novel with the same title. The book is about two best friends who go on summer vacation together every year. They now have one last chance to fall in love, the teaser on Henry's website says.
- Tom Blyth ("Hunger Games") and Emily Bader ("My Lady Jane") star. See the full cast.
"Is God Is"

Aleshea Harris' award-winning play is being adapted into a movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
- "Is God Is" is about twin sisters who are on a revenge journey from the South to California to find and kill their father at the request of their mother, who is God, the Reporter says.
- This film started production Oct. 14 and is scheduled to wrap Nov. 30.
"Charlie Harper"

Emilia Jones ("CODA") and Toby Wallace ("Babyteeth") star in this romance about a couple building a life together in a new city, Deadline says.
- The film is scheduled to start production Nov. 11 and wrap Dec. 13.
"Music Box"
This film started production Monday and is expected to wrap Nov. 28. It's filming in Chalmette.
- No details were immediately available about the plot or cast.
"Dynamic Duo"

Swaybox, an animation studio in New Orleans, is making a new project for DC Studios and Warner Brothers Pictures Animation, Deadline reports.
- The movie tells the origin story of Batman's first two sidekicks, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd AKA the Robins, The Wrap says.
- The movie will show how the "friendship between Grayson and Todd as youths becomes tested by their diverging ideas for what their future should be," Variety says.
- In the DC universe, Variety says, Grayson becomes the superhero Nightwing, while Todd becomes the anti-hero Red Hood.
Zoom in: Swaybox will make the film with a mix of animation, puppetry and CGI, according to Entertainment Weekly.
