Celebrities flocked to Mardi Gras in New Orleans this year. Some reigned over parades, other performed at balls and many chose to roll incognito.
- Here are a few of the celebs we spotted.
Shaquille O'Neal: The basketball legend was the celebrity monarch of Bacchus. The krewe's throne was retrofitted to support his famously large frame.
- He threw 1,000 mini basketballs and 250,000 doubloons emblazoned with his face.

Bianca Del Rio: The vivacious drag queen reigned as the celebrity monarch of Orpheus.
- Former mayor Mitch Landrieu and Saints players Alontae Taylor and Bryan Bresee were also at the parade.

Katy Perry: The singer performed at the Endymion Extravaganza. So did Train.
- City Councilmember Helena Moreno gave Perry a proclamation, making March 1 "Katy Perry Day" in New Orleans.
- The pop star stopped by Cafe Du Monde for beignets with her pup, based on photos she shared on Instagram.
Rutina Wesley: The actress was the honorary muse in Krewe of Muses.
- She's best known for her roles in "The Last of Us," "Queen Sugar" and "True Blood."
- "My time in New Orleans meant so much to me, and I have fallen in love with the city in so many ways," Wesley said in a statement. "To say it is my favorite city in America is an understatement."
- Queen Tahj and Stella Chase Reese also rode in the parade.

Anthony Mackie: This New Orleans native is popping up everywhere as he promotes his new Marvel movie, "Captain America: Brave New World."
- He rode in Bacchus.

Kelsey Anderson: The winner of "The Bachelor" was a guest rider in Tucks.
- She also judged the 55th Annual Greasing of the Poles on Bourbon Street.

Brothers Osborne: This country music duo also reigned as celebrity monarchs in Orpheus.

Livvy Dunne: This LSU gymnast was the grand marshal for Endymion.
