The NFL is coming to town, and with it, a heck of a lot of parties.
Why it matters: You don't need Super Bowl tickets to rub elbows with celebs and enjoy the raucous events that'll take over most city venues in a couple weeks.

If you go: The tailgate will be at Mardi Gras World on Sunday, Feb. 9, from noon to 5pm ahead of the Super Bowl's 5:30pm kickoff.
Fieri set a record for the world's largest tailgate at the Super Bowl in Las Vegas last year, according to a press release, and he hopes to beat that record in New Orleans.
He's got a big event lined up with multiple brand experiences, appearances and performances by Diplo, Flavor Flav and Cowboy Mouth.
