At least 15 people have died and dozens more were injured in the Bourbon Street vehicle attack yesterday, officials said.
- Here's what we know this morning.
President Biden spoke about the incident last night, saying "I know while this person committed a terrible assault on this city, the spirit of New Orleans will never, never be defeated."
The victims include an 18-year-old woman visiting from Mississippi, a football standout from Lafayette, a Metairie mom and a Baton Rouge dad. Read their stories.
Police shot and killed the 42-year-old man they say drove the white Ford truck from Canal Street onto Bourbon Street.
- Shamsud-Din Jabbar died at the scene, officials said. His truck, which was rented, had multiple weapons and an improvised explosive device inside, the FBI said. Biden said last night that his social media posts indicated he was "inspired by ISIS."
- Officials are calling it an act of terror and don't believe he was alone, they said yesterday. The FBI said law enforcement officers found two other IEDs.
Road closures continued last night around Bourbon Street, blocking off the area between Canal to Dumaine streets.
- The FBI said it is processing the crime scene and plans to turn it over to local authorities early this morning. Officials didn't say when the area would reopen.
- City Hall will be closed to the public today while services continue virtually, according a press release. Some courts are closed too.
Increased security: Expect to see additional security measures at facilities across the city.
- Audubon Nature Institute says it will inspect bags and strollers today at the zoo, aquarium and insectarium. See the new rules.
- The FAA has issued a temporary flight restriction for drones through Saturday in the downtown area.
- And, Delta Airlines has a travel advisory for New Orleans, warning of changes to security to and from the city.

- GNO Foundation started a fund to help victims and their families.
- The FBI has a tip line and is asking for photos and videos if you were in the area.
The game: The Allstate Sugar Bowl between Notre Dame and the University of Georgia is now scheduled for 3pm today. It was postponed yesterday after the attack.
- Expect increased security at the Caesars Superdome, too.
Meanwhile, yesterday afternoon a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas, killing one person and injuring several others.
- President Biden said the FBI is investigating whether there is a possible connection between that and the tragedy in New Orleans.
- The FBI said its investigators were still carrying out "a number" of search warrants "in New Orleans and other states" as of late last night.
What's next: Law enforcement is expected to brief city officials this morning.
