Portillo's Garden Dog is a top-tier veggie dog

• It comes with everything, which includes [deep breath] … mustard, relish, celery salt, onions, sliced tomatoes, kosher pickle and sport peppers piled onto a steamed poppy seed bun.
• Hidden under all that is a Field Roast hot dog, which longtime readers will recall was the winner of our vegan hot dog taste test.

💭 Arika's thought bubble: I could do without quite so many toppings (no pickle, no tomatoes for me), especially because the hot dog underneath is juicy and delicious with visible grill marks that did not go unappreciated.

• Aside from a recent trip to Amsterdam, this is the best veggie dog I've had.
