Meow Wolf Houston launches $5 admission program for SNAP recipients

Meow Wolf Houston has partnered with Museums for All, allowing recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to purchase "Radio Tave" tickets for $5 per person.

Why it matters: Regular admission to "Radio Tave" typically runs upwards of $33, depending on the day and time. The new pricing lowers a key cost barrier for families who might otherwise skip the immersive experience.

The big picture: Museums for All is a national program designed to expand access for low-income families.

Meow Wolf Houston now joins more than 1,500 participating museums nationwide.

How it works: Tickets must be purchased onsite with a valid EBT card and matching photo ID. The offer is limited to four tickets per card and is available year-round during normal hours.

Between the lines: Meow Wolf Houston, which opened in 2024, typically does not offer discounts. It is the first of Meow Wolf's five locations to partner with the Museums for All program.

What they're saying: "Houston is a city shaped by creativity and possibility, and we want local families to feel welcome inside our exhibition," Aaron Johnson, general manager of Meow Wolf Houston, says in a statement.

"This program helps us open our doors wider and ensures we grow alongside the community that inspires us."
